If you are having trouble installing your PhotoSaver or Photo2File for the first time please check these THREE points. This can solve many problems easily:

FIRST: Make sure the Photosaver is not connected through a USB hub. the PhotoSaver should be connected directly to a USB port on the computer itself.

IMPORTANT: you will need to plug in the PhotoSaver into a USB 2.0 Compliant port. If you are unsure if you have USB 2.0 click here.

SECOND: Make sure that the display settings control panel is set to 32 bit color.

>>see windows xp sample
>>see Windows vista sample

THIRD: Please ensure that you have the following minimum specifications on your computer.

  • 300 MB or more of free and available space on the hard disk
  • more than 700 MB of RAM memory.
  • Windows XP service pack 2 or higher. If you have Windows XP Service Pack 1 you must either update your computer via the Microsoft Update or install the Direct-X drivers that are included on your CD.
  • If you have Windows Vista please install the appropriate 32 bit or 64 bit drivers.
FOR USERS WITH IBM THINKPADS: we have gotten some reports recently from customers with ThinkPads that can not get the PhotoSaver to work. PLEASE TRY THIS: Plug in your PhotoSaver and restart your computer-- this may solve your problem. With some ThinkPads the driver can not load unless the computer has been restarted.

Regarding your ArSoft Registration number:If your product came with ArcSoft PhotoImpression we recommend that you change to our new software application BlazePhoto. Click here to install the latest drivers.
