The Spectare line of products is devoted to providing unique and engaging products that will allow people to view and enjoy digital content in their everyday lifestyle: at home, at work or on the road. Spectare is derived from the following Latin Words:
specto -are [to look at , contemplate, watch; to test, examine]; of places, [to look towards, face]. Transf. [to consider, contemplate, look for; to bear in mind, have in view]; of things, [to tend, incline]. Hence partic. spectatus -a -um, [tried, approved]; hence [esteemed, respected].
spectabilis -e [visible; worth seeing , notable].
The Spectare line began in 2003 with the introduction of Digital Frames and Digital KeyChains that were sold to Sharper Image, Brookstone, Future Shop, JC Penney and Discovery Channel Stores.
The product line has expanded to include products such as Wireless Security Cameras, Digital Cameras/Media Players, Digital Converters and other photography/media related products.
