QUESTION: I have unistalled the old software and installed the new software from the CD ROM that you provided. It works and I have played with it a little this week end, and it seems to be good. I will have to work at understanding it and find out just what I can do. My goal is to take old negatives and either put them on a disc or possibly on a externaql hard drive or flash drive. I am not sure how to put them onto a flash drive? May be you can give me some advice as how to get them onto a external hard drive or flash drive? Do they have to go into my computer first then into the external hard drive, or can I somehow save them right from the scanner when I scan the negetives right to the external hard drive? I have not worked very much on this kind of project. Could you give me some simple advice. I would appriciate hearing from you.
I would like to Thank You for looking at the scanner and taking the time to get me started in the right direction.
You have both been most helpful.
ANSWER: The fastest way to get images from the PhotoSaver or Photo2File product and onto an external Flash Drive or Hard Drive it to do following:
1) Connect the External Flash drive or hard drive to your computer. You should see and have access to the drive in Windows and it will be automatically mounted as a drive letter on your computer:
2) Connect your PhotoSaver or Photo2file product and launch BlazePhoto.
3) Select “GET PHOTO” and “ACQUIRE FROM <photo or film> SCANNER” from the BlazePhoto Menu Bar
4) On the “Select Scanner & Video Device” screen in BlazePhoto 2.0 set the path name according to the drive letter that your Flash Drive or external drive has been mounted to.
Once this has been set then when you press the SAVE button on the Capture screen the images will automatically transferred to this location.
