Answer: you did not indicate which camera you have. I am assuming you have just purchased the Spectare 70HD camera– is this correct?
In order for the PC Connect to work you will need to install the drivers that were included on the CD ROM into Windows Vista or XP. You should do this BEFORE you connect the camera. After the drivers are installed then you can set the camera to PC MODE and connect to the computer. Once you do this you should see the camera connect as a PC Camera under your MY COMPUTER window. There should be icons that represent the camera– you can click on these icons to access a preview image from the camera.
if you have done the above settings and it is still not working let me know. Also note that the PC Camera function does not work on Mac computer or Windows Computer prior to Windows XP.
In addition when you connect the camera this way or under the USB Mode you can also download the photos directly from the memory card(s) that are inserted into the camera and select the location where you want them to be placed. After the camera is connected you should see a directory with all of the files from the camera- then it should be an easy job to drag and drop to copy them where ever you want them to be stored.

I am pretty sure I have loaded all the software properly. When I plug camera in and select PC connect, the computer doesn’t do anything. I am using the Spectare 70HD camera.
Whenever I open the screen door, it displays, “Disk Error”.
Hi George, I believe your problem is related to the other issue you have reported about your camera asking you if you want to format it or not. Check this page on our blog http://spectareproducts.com/blog/site/?p=224 it could be that your camera has a bad memory chip.
